  • Best ski area mountain apps

Wasn't sure what some of the apps that ski areas have out there. I ski Sugarbush, I think their app is great. Mtn cams on the major lifts so you can see the lines, open/closures are pretty up to date, can track vertical etc.. Anyway wanted to get other peoples thoughts on other ski area mtn apps..

  • Killington – December 10 – watch out for that thin cover

It was cold, I didn't take any photos. Today was packed powder and powder leftovers in the morning, some trails got kind of skied off later in the day. This is just a heads up for anyone going before the next snow. North Star will cause your skis damage. Be careful on natural snow trails right now. While they do…

  • Need Smuggs Info

Have a couple of WM movie pre Christmas Smuggs tix which I never thought I'd be able to use, but with the early season snow I'm now very interested in getting up there as I love the mountain, but really want Madonna to be open. It seems that Sterling is wide open, but does anyone have any intel on when…

  • Mount Snow 12/9/16

Today was my maiden voyage as a Peaks passholder and my first time to Mt. Snow in probably 7 or 8 years. Felt like crap this morning so left late and only got a half day in from noon till a little after 3, but that was more than enough as the cold and early season legs were making me…

  • Stereotypes – Ski trip, skiers or even snowboarders

There are many stereotypes that we see everyday for real! I can think of one that I see often back east at least - the lodge campers - they hold down a table or two using a non skier or rider who reads the whole time and they bring in the whole kitchen set up. I am sure this group…

  • VT current conditions – mid december – how far north….

....do I need to drive? Thinking about stealing a couple days next week or next weekend (12/16) and trying to get in on the recent snow storm. Folks up north, am I right in thinking that Sugarbush and resorts north got a lot more snow than say K-ton and areas south? Trying to keep driving down to a minimum, but…

  • Mt Snow 12-6-2016

Area Skied: Mount Snow, Vermont. Date skied: December 6th 2016 from 1:00 - 3:30pm Surface conditions: Packed powder, hard-packed, icy areas, thin cover. Weather: Increasing clouds, temperatures in the middle 30's My son had a half-day off from school, so we made the trip to Mount Snow to ski for the afternoon. It's clear the mountain is still recovering from…

  • Splitboard setups

Im looking to do more backcountry snowboarding this year but I am sick up strapping my board to my back and snowshoeing in to locations. Im looking to put together my first splitboard setup but am confused to what all I need beyond the board. Any help toward putting things together would be great. Thanks!

  • Sugarbush Powder Day

What a day. Legit boot + deep in the woods are Paradise the first two runs. Then jumped the 10am gun and hiked to Castlerock. Just tons of snow. I actually believe the 28" since Friday report. Went for Liftline first where the Sugarbush photography/social media crew was filming/snapping pics of a couple going through the knee deep stuff. There…
