Mt. Tecumseh
Date:
1-26-2002
Trails: Mt. Tecumseh & Sosman
Distance: 5 miles roundtrip
Difficulty: Moderate overall
Conditions: Warm for January, trail fairly well packed
Special Required Equipment: None required, standard winter stuff
Trip Report: I got an early start so I got to park near the trailhead
in the #1 lot at Waterville Valley. Was done before noon so I decided to hit
the popular Welch-Dickey Loop a little further down Route 49.
Wind near top at part of Sosman trail that hugs the Western side of summit
block was stronger than I expected for a wooded peak but not bad. Had summit
to myself & passed about 15 people on my way down.
