Tannersville, Pa. – Camelback Mountain Resort in the Pocono Mountains of eastern Pennsylvania will host the country’s first Relay For Life Snowtube-A-Thon March 8-9, 2014 in partnership with the American Cancer Society.
Aptly themed, Give Cancer The Cold Shoulder, the all-night Relay For Life Snowtube-A-Thon will begin on Saturday, March 8 at 6:00 pm and conclude on Sunday, March 9 at 6:00 am at the biggest snowtubing park in the U.S.A., located at Camelback Mountain Resort. Interested participants can register a Relay For Life team or come out to support the cause as an individual, family, or with friends by purchasing a ticket to tube. Because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant tubing at all times.
Participants are welcome to camp out overnight and take turns snowtubing as Camelback hosts the massive Snowtube-A-Thon to help stomp out this disease. The night will include special events, live entertainment, dance contests, prizes and giveaways. Participants are also encouraged to get in the spirit by dressing and decorating their vehicles in a winter wonderland theme.
At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The evening will also include the traditional Luminaria Ceremony of remembrance and hope in honor of those who have battled or are currently battling cancer.
Camelback Mountain Resort continues to celebrate its 50th Anniversary Season – deemed a season of giving back.
