Counteract Holiday Stress at Stratton’s Om for the Holidays

STRATTON MOUNTAIN, Vermont – For something different to do during the Christmas holiday week, try yoga on the snow, drumming, hooping, slacklining, children’s yoga, and swing dancing at Stratton’s Om for the Holidays. Join notable instructors for classes and events at this enlightened celebration on mat and mountain, December 27 to 30 at Stratton Mountain Resort.

Classes and activities include Yoga on the Snow, Children’s Yoga, Mountain Hooping and Boomer Yoga (for the boomer generation), plus guided snowshoe hikes and drumming, swing dancing and a kick-off celebration. Noted instructors include Beryl Bender Birch, Sarah deHavenon and Jo Kirsch.

Come for three days, come for one day, come for just a class – the schedule is as flexible as yours. Classes are structured for accomplished yogis or those just trying it out at all ability levels. Evening events are free and open to anyone and everyone. Om for the Holidays kicks off Thursday, December 27 at 7 pm, with a fireside chat and meditation with best selling author and renowned yoga teacher, Beryl Bender Birch. Other free events include:
· Om for the Holidays Celebration, with a farmer’s market of Vermont’s bounty, mountain hooping, slacklining, live music, and local crafts. December 28, 7-9 pm, Base Lodge.

· West Coast Swing Dancing, to blues, pop, rock, and funky cool tunes. Beginners are welcome at this free event at the Living Room in the Inn at Stratton Mountain from 7-8:30 pm.

· Everybody’s Drumming, Sunday at 7 pm in the Living Room. An interactive drumming experience for people of all ages that builds a sense of community and wellbeing, and is just plain fun. Come and play. Drums and percussion instruments will be provided.
