LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — The Adirondack Equine Center and Horse Rescue is now offering horseback riding at the Olympic Sports Complex at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid, N.Y. The Equine Center will conduct horseback rides on the vast trail system of the 1980 Winter Olympic Cross Country Ski Center at the Olympic Sports Complex which is run by the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA).
“It’s a fantastic addition to all the activities already located at the Olympic Sports Complex. We feel there is a great synergy to be had between the mountain bike program, run by High Peaks Cyclery, and the bobsled rides offered at the Sports Complex,” said Travis deValinger, general manager of the Equine Center and Horse Rescue. “A short drive from downtown Lake Placid, State Route 73 exposure, and with trails perfectly suited for horseback rides we couldn’t ask for a better location.”
