KILLINGTON, Vt. (January 3, 2013) – Vermont’s Killington Resort, the largest ski and snowboard resort in Eastern North America, is offering 1-day Learn To Ski and 1-day Burton Learn To Ride packages for $29 valid Sunday-Friday for January 2013. Killington’s Learn To Ski or Ride packages are available for first-time skiers and riders ages 7 and up and include a lesson, rental equipment and a limited Learning Area lift ticket.
“Our goal is to share our passion of snow sports with new skiers and snowboarders by offering an incredible value and introducing new participants to the sport through Killington’s Learn To Programs,” said Dave Beckwith, Killington Resort’s director of snow sports. “We’re offering a lesson, rental equipment and a Learning Area lift ticket for under $30 and partnering with resorts across the country to promote January as a great time to learn to ski or snowboard.”
Killington Resort’s Learn To Programs are MAX 5, guaranteeing a maximum of five skiers or riders per instructor for every lesson, proven teaching methods and innovative learning equipment including Rossignol and Elan short shaped skis or Burton LTR snowboards.
Those who take advantage of the $29 learning opportunities may purchase a second day Learn To package and will received a third lesson free. Upon completion of three days or more in the Learn To program, you’ll receive a Learner’s Permit Card that will give you 50% off on lift tickets, lessons, and rentals for the remainder of the 2012-13 season and all of the 2013-14 season. These three days do not need to be consecutive and are valid any day during the 2012-13 winter season.
“For each lesson, our instructors will focus on the individuals’ strengths and use them as building blocks, so first timers can transition into lifetime skiers and riders,” continued Beckwith.
Advanced reservations are recommended and space is limited to the first five reservations per day by calling 800-923-9444. Some restrictions may apply.
