Henniker, NH, January 14, 2013 — PATS PEAK, southern New Hampshire’s favorite mountain, announces its S&DUB Board Shop/CandyGrind Big Air Contest on Friday, January 18, 2013, sponsored by Pats Peak, S&W Sports and CandyGrind.
This is the first year the Big Air Contest will take place under the lights. The competition starts at 6pm in Turbulence Park. Registration for the Big Air is from 5pm to 5:30pm in the Valley Lodge with a $20 Entry Fee plus at Valley Night Lift Ticket is required or Pats Peak Season Pass. All participants must sign a release of liability form, ages 17 years old and under need a parent to sign a parental consent form. “Our park crew is excited to be hosting our annual Big Air Contest,” says Phil Grant, Pats Peak Snowboard Manager. “This year the contest will be under the lights, which will give it another level of excitement!”
PATS PEAK is in its 50th consecutive ski and snowboard season under the Patenaude family ownership. PATS PEAK has 23 well-groomed trails for all abilities, 7 gladed areas, 3 terrain parks, a snowtubing park, 10 high-capacity lifts, 100 percent snowmaking and some of the most challenging skiing in Southern New Hampshire.
PATS PEAK has a Learn to Ski and Ride Program for more than 8,000 kids from over 100 local schools. There are more than 70 Adult/Corporate Racing teams in the Adult/Corporate Racing League. Many adults participate in the weekday Adult Ski & Snowboard Clinics for all ability levels. PATS PEAK has 100% of its trails lit for night skiing/riding and is one of the state’s most accessible learn-to-ski-and-snowboard mountains, with three separate beginner areas.
