MOD Live now shows users exact distance from buddies, chair lift, lodge or favorite bar via HUD
BARCELONA – February 28, 2012 – Recon Instruments, award winning innovator of Heads-up Display (HUD) technology for action sport athletes, today announced several significant updates to its Navigation app for the Android-powered MOD Live. The Navigation feature provides skiers and snowboarders with digital trail maps of more than 500 resorts around the world to track buddies on the hill and show resort points of interest , and now allows MOD Live users to instantly see their distance from other users and specific locations.

The update also provides users with shortcuts to their last chosen resort map or automatically selects the map based on their location. In addition, the look and feel of each resort map has been advanced in this latest release to allow more intuitive on-hill navigation.
MOD Live users can update their display by connecting it to their computer via USB, powering on their MOD Live, launching Recon’s HQ software and following the onscreen instructions to download MOD Live Software Update Version 1.2.1.
