sugarbush mountainWarren, VT (February 13, 2013) – In the wake of what is coming to be known as the Blizzard of 2013, Sugarbush Resort pushed past the total snowfall mark from 2011-2012 season. Some 187” of snow have blanketed the slopes of Sugarbush so far this season.

This past December proved to be the 3rd snowiest December in the Resort’s records. Skiers and riders were treated to lots of great days on the mountain. In addition to the natural snowfall, Sugarbush has made snow at every opportunity which allowed the resort to keep conditions in the best shape through two January thaws.

“Late February and March can bring significant snowfalls,” said Win Smith, President of Sugarbush Resort “and with some luck our season will continue into May.”

Ahead on Sugarbush’s schedule is an event packed President’s Week. From February 16th through the 24th the Resort hosts a variety of events with fun both on and off the mountain. Families can enjoy kids pizza and movie night, sunset groomer rides, Family Fun night with street performers and an ice carving demonstration.

Other events include photography exhibits, art showings, wine tastings, and a cooking demonstration by Sugarbush Executive Chef Gerry Nooney. On mountain events include a Randonee Race and the Tour De Moon. A full calendar of events including times and pricing can be found at sugarbush.com.
