250 Santas Ski and Ride Sunday River for Charity – 12th Annual Event raises $2,220

Newry, Maine (Dec. 4, 2011) – 250 Santas skiing and riding the slopes of Sunday River donated a total of $2,220 to local charity today, as part of the 12th Annual Santa Sunday . Money raised benefits the Bethel Rotary Club’s annual Christmas toy drive.

Participants who donned head-to-toe Santa attire received a free day of skiing or riding for today’s event, as well an additional lift ticket to use any time before December 16, 2011. A minimum donation of $10 was required to participate and will be used to purchase gifts for children in the Bethel, Maine, area.

The 12th annual Santa Sunday was held on Sunday River’s Broadway trail. Sunday River opened on October 29, 2011, and currently boasts the highest amount of open acreage on the East Coast.
