Amstel Light Signs on to Sponsor the 2005 US Freeskiing Tour
WHITE PLAINS, NY ??” Amstel Light, the largest selling imported light beer in the US, will once again step up its ski platform in 2005 with the announcement that for the third time, it will sponsor the US Freeskiing Tour. Showcasing the most revered ski events in the industry, the Amstel Light 2005 US Freeskiing Tour is an intense competition featuring some of the world’s hottest skiers battling it out on some of the country’s most challenging terrain.
As part of its sponsorship, Amstel Light will also become event title sponsor of the Green Mountain Skiercross Classic at Stowe, Vermont and the Spring Skiercross Open at Boyne, Michigan. Amstel Light also titles the Skiercross and Big Mountain Freeskiing Tour Finale, which constitute the North American Freeskiing Championships. In addition, Amstel Light continues to support the Rocky Mountain Skiercross Classic in Telluride, Colorado and the US Freeskiing Nationals at Snowbird Resort. Continuing its broad support, Amstel Light is also the lead presenting partner of the Powder Video Awards, which is held each year in Aspen, Colorado.
As part of the Tour’s promotion, the brand is sponsoring the Amstel Light Free Skiing Sweepstakes. Each week for 13 weeks, until March 18, two Grand Prize winners will be selected to each receive two universal adult ski passes for one of any 200 participating mountains in the US.
