HIGHMOUNT, New York — Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort, celebrating its 59th year in operation in 2008-2009, has been a major economic catalyst for the surrounding communities since its inception in 1947 by New York voter referendum. Currently operated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as the oldest active ski area in the Catskill Mountains and one of the largest employers in a rural area, Belleayre is committed to remaining a positive force for economic stimulus in the Catskills region.

The Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce and Belleayre Mountain announce the launch of the Belleayre Mountain Economic Stimulus Package to benefit both the businesses and skiers and riders of the surrounding region.

Patrons are encouraged to bring any receipt for $50.00 or more for a purchase of goods or services made between Dec 15, 2008 and Jan 15, 2009 at any local businesses that are members of either the Central Catskills, Delaware County, or Ulster County Chambers of Commerce, and Belleayre will sell the customer a Buy One Get One Free lift ticket that is good to return and use anytime during the 2008-2009 ski season.

The customer will take part in this program through purchasing a lift ticket at the Guest Services locations in Discovery and Overlook Lodges. Bring the receipt to a Guest Service location where the ticket seller will verify that it is from a participating establishment. (Receipts must be from businesses that are current members of Central Catskills, Delaware County, or Ulster County Chambers of Commerce.) Once the receipt is verified as from a participating business, the ticket seller will sell the customer a special ticket that is labeled Economic Stimulus BOGO. This lift ticket will be good for a complimentary return trip to Belleayre to be used anytime during the 2008-2009 skiing and riding season. This promotion is only good for tickets purchased at Belleayre Mountain and cannot be combined with any other discounts or on-mountain promotions. The offer is not valid for toddler tickets.
