HIGHMOUNT, New York — Belleayre Mountain opened, Friday, November 28, with the largest crowd in 25 years. Over 4,000 skiers and riders were enjoying 13 inches of natural powder which covered the entire mountain. Saturday’s, Tap into Winter party was a great success thanks to Freestyle Realty and Centennial Mortgages for sponsoring free food, and DJ Wavy Davy who entertained the crowd and passed out giveaways. Pre-season rates are in effect until Friday, December 12, 2008.

Belleayre Mountain is excited to appreciate the skiers and riders again this season with $25 lift tickets. The first Customer Appreciation Day is Friday, December 12, 2008. Belleayre is also offering $25 lift tickets on Christmas Day, December 25, 2008. Additional Customer Appreciation dates are available on Belleayre Mountain’s website.

The popular Kidscamp program, seasonal workshops and the Nursery are programs designed to enhance the family experience at the mountain. These programs require advanced reservations that can be made online or by contacting Belleayre Mountain’s Sales Department at 845-254-5600 x2474. The Sales Department is also the contact if you have a group of fifteen or more and would like to take advantage of discounted lift tickets, rentals and lessons.

Belleayre will be hosting the Annual Demo Day on Saturday, December, 13 outside the Overlook Lodge. Jimmy’s Belleayre Ski Shop and Blue Sky Sports will have new gear for customers to test out including Elan, Rossignol, and Dynastar. Representatives will be available to answer any questions and provide technical support.

Belleayre Mountain is a year-round outdoor recreation area in the Catskill Mountains operated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
