September 20, 2012
GREAT BARRINGTON, MA – The temperature isn’t the only thing dropping here at Ski Butternut. On Friday, September 28, 2012, our award-winning Ski and Board shop reopens for its Annual Fall Sale, with a lodge full of ski and snowboard gear, as well as apparel and accessories, all at great low prices.
Brand new items for the 2012-13 season are 15% off manufacturer’s suggested retail prices, with even bigger discounts available for some ski/binding/pole packages. New, unsold items from last season are marked down by 40%, and last year’s demo skis are priced at 60% below their new MSRPs. In our bargain section, you’ll find merchandise from previous years at discounts up to 70% off.
We carry a large selection of popular name brands, including skis by Atomic, Rossignol, Solomon, and Volkl; snowboards from Burton, Gnu, LibTech and Smokin Snowboards; and boots by many of those brands, plus Dalbello (for skiers) and ThirtyTwo (for boarders). Plus a large selection of ski poles.
But we’re way more than just an equipment shop: We also have an outstanding selection of warm winter apparel and accessories, like socks, long underwear, gloves & mittens, hats, goggles, sunglasses, helmets, bags and packs, from brands like Obermeyer, Spyder, Orage, Volkl, Helly Hansen, Five Seasons, Burton, Quiksilver, Roxy, FourSquare, Smartwool, Hot Chillys, Under Armour, Turtle Fur, Neff, Scott, Smith, Kombi, POC, Giro, Transpack, and others.
“We’re really gearing up for winter,” says Penny Spoja, hardgoods buyer and certified expert boot-fitter, “bringing in all of the latest equipment from several manufacturers, so we can help just about anyone find the perfect skis, board, or boots for their budget and ability level. But right now we’ve also got a nice selection of gear from last season, especially boots, so it’s also a great time to score a fantastic 40% off deal on remaining unsold merchandise from last year.”
“Warm winter clothes aren’t just for skiers and boarders,” adds Jill Zwick, shop manager. “Don’t forget about back-to-school clothes for the kids. We’ve got a wide selection of warm, comfortable hats, socks, jackets, and parkas, not to mention ski pants, helmets, and goggles, that’ll keep you looking good both on the slopes and off. And thanks to last winter’s unusually warm temperatures, this year’s fall sale features a lot more clothes at discounts of 40% or more than in recent years. We have over 300 jackets alone available for men, women, and kids in a large range of sizes.”
