NEWRY, Maine — Even those who fall on Santa’s naughty list can make ground this season at Sunday River’s 9th Annual Santa Sunday taking place on December 7, 2008. This fun event for all raises money for the Bethel Rotary’s Christmas for Children Campaign and is sure to garner smiles from even Santa himself. The free lift tickets involved for those who participate and great early season conditions are a sure sign of Christmas come early.

All participants receive a lift ticket valid for Santa Sunday until 11 a.m. After posing for the annual photo shoot and video, Santas will then be able to use the ticket for the remainder of the day and receive two additional lift tickets valid through December 19, 2008.

Like Jolly St. Nick himself, wardrobe standards are strict. All Santas must arrive at Sunday River’s South Ridge area wearing all of the following items: one red Santa hat (including a white pompom), one red Santa jacket, one pair of red Santa pants, a Santa beard, and a $10 (or more) cash donation for the Bethel Rotary Club.

Guests interested in Santa Sunday are recommended to sign up early online (www.sundayriver.com). Santa Sunday is open to the first 250 participants.
