Cranmore Releases Event Lineup for February
NORTH CONWAY, NH – Cranmore Mountain is continuing the winter with an array of fun family events all month long. Every weekend, families can find lots to do in addition to skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing plus all of Cranmore’s rides and attractions, including its new Soaring Eagle Zipline ride, now open in winter!
Sunday, February 10th is the 36th annual Hope on the Slopes Race to Beat Cancer. Whether you’re a recreation skier, a snowboarder, a downhill racer, a tubing enthusiast, or just want to help in the fight against cancer, you can join this meaningful and inspiring event. The minimum contribution of $75 per racer, includes a full day lift ticket or two hour tubing pass,coffee supplied by Good Vibes Coffee Roasters and lunch provided by Flatbread Company. 100% of the event proceeds are used by the American Cancer Society to fund cancer research. Registration opens at 8:30am on the third floor of the Main Base Lodge and the racing begins at 10am.
Cranmore’s second freestyle event of the season, RAMP Sports and Arbor Present Retro Fest Rail Jam, is on Saturday, February 23rd and is part of Cranmore’s 75th anniversary schedule of events. Grab your skis and boards, along with your best day glow gear and come out and throw down. Registration starts at 9am in the main base lodge and is $10 plus a lift ticket or seasons pass. The event will start at noon in the Double Feature Park. Winners will walk away with new skis or a board courtesy of the presenting sponsors and other prizes from sponsors, Dakine, Shreddy Times and Frontside Grind. RAMP Sports will also be on property throughout the day with demo equipment.
This February includes a special farm themed Cranapalooza and fireworks Sponsored by Tommy Hilfiger on February 16th, and a Hollywood themed Cranapalooza and fireworks sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink on Saturday, February 23rd. Both of these dates include a bonus family friendly magic show at the Artist Falls Lodge from 4:30-5:30pm, with family magician Ryan Mahoney. There is also a bonus Cranapalooza on Wednesday, February 20th.
Friday, February 22nd, Stonewall Kitchen will be on the deck of Zip’s Pub and Grille with free product samples, and Rockstar Energy Drink will be on property sampling drinks on Saturday, February 23rd.
All these family events make Cranmore the perfect place for kids to learn to ski. In fact Cranmore was recently named #1 in New Hampshire and #2 in the East for Kids Programs by Ski Magazine, and was also just named the #1 Place to Learn to Ski and Ride in New Hampshire by the Boston Globe. Last year Cranmore launched its KidsRule Mountain Camps, lesson programs for ages 3-14 that focuses on safety, teacher training, dedicated learning centers and communication.
