“I really have to thank the snowmaking crew for their hard work”, said Felix Kagi, General Manager. “We’ve given them one of the most amazing snowmaking systems in the world, and they’ve used it to the fullest advantage.”

The entire mountain is now open with full coverage on all trails. Base depths currently average between 22″ ??“ 38″, with deeper snow in the terrain parks. With a recent natural storm dropping 16″ of powder on the mountain, snow conditions are already as good as skiers & riders would expect.

Crotched Mountain has been creating quite a buzz with their top-notch snow quality, which is the direct result of grooming strategy and high capacity snowmaking technology.

In addition to opening 100% of the mountain, terrain park crews have built and opened the mountain’s signature Love Park. Crotched’s Love is served by it’s own quad chair, and has quickly become one of the most talked-about parks in the eastern region, featuring a wide assortment of rails, ramps, kickers and other hits.

“The season has started off on a strong note and the mountain is becoming more and more popular as people are discovering Crotched for themselves”, said Kagi.

The new Crotched Mountain opened for the 2003-2004 season after an estimated $11m development effort. The mountain features modern facilities, 75 acres of terrain, new lifts and the latest snowmaking technology. The mountain is located only 23 miles from Manchester, NH.
