GATLINBURG, Tenn., Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The City of Gatlinburg will bring snow to Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Oct. 22 , at The University of Alabama vs. University of Tennessee game, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., to provide children of all ages a free, one-of-a kind tailgating experience and give a local family affected by the tornadoes an early holiday gift. The event will be located across the street from The University of Alabama’s Student Media Building on University Blvd. The Student Media Building is in between Reese Phifer Hall and The Walk of Champions outside the north-end zone of Bryant Denny Stadium.

The event is free to the public and will feature a snow slide allowing actual snow-tubing by attendees, a sample taste of Gatlinburg and appearances by Shivers the penguin from Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Visitors can also enter to win giveaways from Ober Gatlinburg, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Park Vista, The Greystone Lodge, Elk Springs Resort, Edgewater Hotel, Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre and the Gatlinburg Attractions Association.
