Gore Mountain Hosts Son Day Sundae Sunday March 13

NORTH CREEK, New York ??” Sons 19 and under will ski and ride free at Gore Mountain will full-paying parent on Sunday, March 13. “Son Day Sundae Sunday” features the family-oriented discount, a parent/son NASTAR race on Twin Fawns at 11am, and free ice cream from Stewart’s Shops and FLY 92 at 2PM.

Hundreds of sons turn out for this annual event. The race offers parent/son teams two runs, with the best combined times earning prizes including Great Escape tickets and winter gear. Entry fee is $5 per team, and registration will be 8:30-10:45am.

Complimentary ice cream sundaes will be available for kids on the sundeck at 2pm, courtesy of Stewart’s Shops and FLY92. FLY will also feature music and giveaways during a live remote 1:30-3:30pm.

Other upcoming events include a guided ski from Gore Mountain’s summit to the North Creek Ski Bowl on Friday, March 18, at 11am. The guided ski is free with lift ticket, and includes interpretive information about the surrounding Adirondack peaks and shuttle ride back to the mountain.

Also on the calendar is the Cardboard Derby March 19, Bump Contest March 20, Season Passholder Mountain Challenge March 26, Sunrise Service & Easter Egg Hunt March 27, Deck Party April 3, and Pond Skimming April 10.
