With the holiday week approaching we know exactly what you are looking for from us – snow! And that is exactly what we are going to deliver. With Jiminy’s state of the art snowmaking system we already have more of our terrain open than most mountains in the East and we are continuing snowmaking efforts at a feverish pace. By the end of the week we expect to be up to 24 trails open with 105 acres of skiable terrain (over 60% of the mountain!) offering a variety of levels for everyone and we will be adding more terrain at every opportunity.

At Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort along with our sister resorts Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, NH and Bromley Mountain outside of Manchester, VT, our priority is family. With the launch of our KidsRule Program this winter, all 3 mountains have placed a special emphasis on ensuring that learning terrain is open and ready for your kids to learn to ski and ride this holiday season. Both our novice chair lifts are open with access to our Cricket and 180 terrain, perfect for beginners. By the end of the week we will have our Magic Carpet lift and Chipmunk area open as well. And when they have mastered the lower mountain we have a variety of routes ready from the top including Left Bank, West Way and Upper and Lower Slingshot perfect for their first runs off the summit. We encourage you to make your child’s reservation for their KidsRule lessons, perfect for all ability levels, as our program is filling quickly.

But we know beginner terrain isn’t all you are looking for and we have an array of more challenging terrain in our arsenal as well. From intermediate trails such as Riptide and Willie’s Gulch to black diamonds like Whitetail there is truly something for everyone. For the Park lovers out there Grommetville and Alex’s Park will both be ready to go for the holiday week.

When you are done for the day or need a break from the slopes head over to the Mountain Coaster and experience a ride like no other! The Coaster will run 1 pm – 7 pm daily throughout the holiday week.

While it might not look white in your backyard, it certainly looks white in ours and we invite you to come enjoy a winter wonderland this holiday season! Even if Mother Nature isn’t going to give you a White Christmas (though we hear she might) we will!
