Jiminy Peak’s Annual Spring Fling

HANCOCK, Massachusetts — Saturday, March 24th Jiminy Peak will host it’s annual Spring Fling event. Spring Fling will feature fun for the whole family including a barbeque, fun races, a pie eating contest, a Cardboard Box Derby, and more. Events begin at 10 am.

The Cardboard Box Race will begin at 10 am and is open to everyone. Participants may form teams but all team members must be able to ride in the Box at one time. The Boxes may not contain any metal and only cardboard and duct tape may come in contact with the snow. Helmets are required and a number of different prizes will be awarded for various categories.

Races include the Bikini Slalom, the Jiminy Peaker, and the Snoopy race. The Bikini Slalom begins at 12:30 pm, bathing suits must be worn and fully visible throughout the race. At 1:00 pm will be the Snoopy Race and the Jiminy Peaker. The Snoopy race is for children ages 4-7 who are not involved in a formal ski racing program. The Jiminy Peaker features a 8-9age group and a 10-12 age group, also for kids who are not involved in a formal racing program. All races are held on the 180 slope.

The event will also include a pie eating contest at 1:45 pm and will conclude with awards for each event at 3 pm. BBQ sponsored by Saranac Root Beer.
