KILLINGTON, Vt. (November 1, 2014) – Killington Resort, the largest four-season resort in Eastern North America, announces Monday, November 3, 2014, as opening day for the 2014-15 Winter Season. The first turns of the season will be dedicated exclusively to Season Pass and Express Card holders. Opening time will be determined early Monday morning and announced in the Conditions Report.
Killington will open to the general public for skiing and snowboarding on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, and expects to remain open daily for the duration of the Longest Season in the East as conditions permit.
Season Pass and Express Card holders will enjoy draft specials all day at the Peak Lodge, plus complimentary hors d’oeuvres during a season kick-off appreciation gathering on Monday afternoon.
The Snowshed Sales Center and K-1 Guest Services will be open one hour prior to lift opening on Monday, selling Season Passes and Express Cards for same-day access to the slopes. Express Card holders will only be charged $25 for all ages on Monday, November 3, 2014.
Killington Resort’s mountain operations team kept its focus on winter since last chair in May, and has made significant improvements for the season with upgrades to snowmaking, lifts, signage and the trails themselves.
Nearly 400 new low-energy snow guns join Killington’s fleet this year for an anticipated 10% reduction in compressed air usage.
