SNOWSHOE, West Virginia — This weekend, February 6-8, Snowshoe mountain will host its annual Jose Cuervo Games of Winter. Now in its 21st season, this annual event is one of the mountain’s biggest party weekends of the season. Featuring on-snow competition and nightclub games, Cuervo Weekend has become an infamous Snowshoe institution.
The weekend’s events kick-off Thursday night with a warm-up party at Hoot’s, giving partiers just a taste of the wild fun that’s to come. Friday will feature the annual Cardboard Box Racer Building Party, followed by parties at the mountains hotspots; Moonshine Pub, the Junction, Foxfire Grille and The Connection Nightclub. The Davisson Brothers Band will provide live entertainment at The Connection.
Saturday will feature the infamous Great Games of Winter, with the cardboard box race, snow volleyball, tug-o-war and other classic competitions. After the games, the party moves indoors to the Connection Nightclub for the Bar Games of Winter. Cuervo Happy Hour will follow, featuring another live performance by the Davisson Brothers, who will also rock The Connection all night Saturday. For those nursing a Cuervo hangover on Sunday, the annual Recovery Party takes place at 1 p.m. inside Moonshine Pub.
While the fun will be non-stop all weekend, party goers may want to take it easy, as conditions on the slopes will be too good to pass up. Snowshoe has seen over a foot of fresh snow since Saturday, and just finished the snowiest Nov-Jan period since the 1995/1996 season. The mountain is 100% open, offering 60 slopes and 244 acres of skiable terrain, as well as great adventure activities like guided snowmobile tours, and family fun including tubing, Split Rock Pools and The Big Top entertainment center. With amazing conditions, a can’t-miss event, and great deals like our Third Night Free Offer, now is the time to get in your car and get up here.
