Mohawk Mountain Appoints David Yeagle as Director of Snowsports

snowsportsDavid, a native of Mansfield Center, Connecticut comes to Mohawk Mountain from Afton Alps, Minnesota, where he served most recently as Assistant Director of the Ski and Snowboard School. He is a PSIA Level 3 Ski Instructor and trainer. His greatest passion is working on the snow with students and instructors, and he looks forward to creating an outstanding training and development program for all of our teaching staff, and delivering the finest ski and snowboard instruction in Southern New England. David’s experiences at Afton Alps, a Vail Resort, have prepared him well to deliver the consistency and excellence that our guests expect.

“I am excited about the opportunity to become the Director of Snowsports at Mohawk Mountain, and about joining this excellent team. I am looking forward to being a part of building on Mohawk’s history and tradition of excellence,” Yeagle said.

David will have responsibility for the five segments of programming which Snowsports comprises: Race Team, Mountain Division, and all lesson programs – Snowhawks, Group Lessons and Private Lessons. As director, he will work closely with his instructors, assistants, trainers and supervisors to deliver the consistently excellent programs you have come to expect at Mohawk Mountain. FUN FACTS… David has been skiing since the age of two. He carved his first turns in New England, West Virginia and Colorado. David’s Dad, also a ski instructor, was his first teacher.
