Dover, Vt. (September 13, 2013) – The Green Mountains surrounding the Mount Snow Valley have begun their annual transformation from the lush color of their namesake to the vibrant palette of reds, yellows, purples and oranges that are synonymous with fall in New England. Leaf peepers planning to make the short trip to the Northeast’s most accessible area of National Forest will find they can do it for less thanks to special lodging packages Mount Snow Resort is offering that include scenic chairlift ride tickets during the resort’s expanded lift schedule for peak foliage.

Mount Snow is located on Route 100, which Yankee Magazine has said, “may be the best foliage viewing in all of New England.” The nearby villages of West Dover and Wilmington are home to an abundance of shops, art galleries and dining options as well as a full schedule of events and festivals celebrating fall.

The resort offers scenic chairlift rides on weekends through Monday, October 14. This year, the schedule has been expanded to provide leaf peepers an elevated view of the area’s legendary foliage every day starting Saturday, September 21 through Sunday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Fall Foliage Getaway Package is valid the nights of September 20 – 29 with per person rates starting at $55 for a night of lodging at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel plus a free scenic chair ride. Based on double occupancy. And now through the end of October, visitors can book two nights of lodging at a spacious Mount Snow condo and get the third night free.
