New $12 Kids Sunday Lift Ticket, Kids Ski Free Weekends at Waterville Valley

WATERVILLE VALLEY, New Hampshire — Northern New Hampshire just got a lot more family friendly thanks to Waterville Valley’s efforts to give skiing families more for their money. It’s a big list: New $12 Sunday kids ticket, kids ski free weekends, family ski lessons and value and action packed ski and stay deals. All overnight stays now include ice skating at Waterville’s indoor arena along with access to the White Mountain Athletic Club and the free ski shuttle to the mountain. Also new, families have until 3:00 pm on Sundays to check-out from their Waterville Valley lodging and head home.

New $12 Sunday Kids Ticket

Kids 6-12 can now ski and ride for $12 on any non-holiday Sunday. In addition, $1 from each Sunday Kids Ticket will be donated to the New Hampshire Food Bank. Not offered on Sunday, 12/27/09, 1/17/10, and 2/14/10. Ages 5 and under always ski free.

Family Ski & Stay Deals Ring in 2010 with Kids Ski Free Weekends in January
From $210 per person, double occupancy for the weekend, the Ring in 2010 Packages are offered 1/8-10, 1/22-24, and 1/29-31. This ski and stay deal includes 2 nights lodging in the village of Waterville Valley, 2 adult lift tickets for 2 days, lift tickets for ages 12 & under (one free kids ticket per paid adult), valet parking on Sunday, 50% discount off rentals, group lessons, all day Kids Venture Kamps and Child Care. Two adults minimum per room required.

New 3:00 PM Sunday checkout with Waterville Valley’s Ski and Stay Deals
An extra late check-out means more ski time on Sundays for parents and kids at Waterville Valley this winter and is available at the Snowy Owl Inn, Golden Eagle Lodge, Valley Inn, Village Condominium, Black Bear Lodge and Town Square Condominium. Families can now have a healthy breakfast with the family, take the shuttle to the mountain, get the best part of the ski day on the slopes, head back to pack the car at 2:00, check out at 3:00 and go pick up the kids from ski school. Not offered during holiday periods and NH Special Olympics Sunday 2/28/10.

Kids Rule Waterville NH Vacation Week – Kids Ski Free

From $43 per person/night, quad occupancy, Waterville’s Kids Rule Package is valid the nights of 2/22-2/26/09. In addition to free skiing for kids, the package includes lodging, 2 adults minimum per room, lift tickets (one free kid’s ticket per paid adult), 50% discount off rentals, group lessons, all day Kids Venture Kamps and Child Care. Two-night minimum stay required.

Family Ski and Snowboard Programs “Trail Along” Family Private Lesson
This family private lesson is designed for parents who want to take part in their kid’s learning and snow time. The one hour private lesson allows parents to trail along with their child and instructor and receive valuable information on how to safely navigate and learn on the mountain. The “Trail Along” Family Private is most appropriate for families with children ages 4-8. The cost is $125 for lessons during peak times (10 am – Noon) and $99 if taken during off peak times.

Family “First Trails”

Families can enjoy learning a new sport and sharing their first experience on snow together with Family “First Trails”. It’s designed for parents and children ages 7-12 that have never skied or snowboarded before. The package includes rental equipment and a learning area lift ticket for the day and a 2-hour beginner lesson served up family style. The cost is $380 for up to 4 family members and $75 per additional family member. Kids Ski & Snowboard Venture KampsWaterville Valley brings skiing variety to even the smallest level in Kids Venture Kamps. Kamps head into venture zones designed with small features that build skiing and snowboarding skills in a fun way. Each zone has a pin for kids to collect. All Kids Venture Kamps have their own rental facility and instructors fit the kids themselves so parents get out to the slopes faster. Age groups include: Mogul Mites for Skiers (3 yrs.), Mountain Explorers for Skiers (4-6 yrs.), Mountain Scouts for Skiers and Snowboarders (7-12 yrs).
