Parade, Fireworks, Concerts and Festival Headline 4th of July in Waterville Valley

WATERVILLE VALLEY, New Hampshire — A spectacular fireworks display and hometown 4th of July parade add sparkle and tradition to an action packed getaway to Waterville Valley, New Hampshire.

The resort’s Summer Unlimited 4th of July Package offers two nights lodging, 4th of July parade flags, fireworks, outdoor concerts, family festival and daily recreation including 9-holes of golf, mountain biking, tennis, use of the indoor athletic center and boating on Corcoran’s Pond. The 4th of July Package starts at $56 per person, per night based on quad occupancy and is offered at the Golden Eagle Lodge, Town Square Condominiums, Snowy Owl Inn, Black Bear Lodge and the Village Condominium . Most recreation and weekend activities are within walking distance or a trolley ride from these lodges.

July 3

NCCA Children’s Theatre – St. George and the Dragon at 10:30 am. $5 admission.

July 4

Guided Hikes with the Rey Center leaving at 8:00 am, choose from a moderate or challenging hike. $10 per person.

Sugar-Coated Shakespeare at 3:30 pm

Hometown parade at 4:00 pm

Outdoor Concert at Town Square 6:30-9:30 pm

Spectacular fireworks display over Corcoran’s Pond at 9:30 pm

July 5

Independence Day Festival from 11-3 with games, crafts, obstacle course, Fireman’s BBQ, band, Dunk Tank

Outdoor Concerts at Town Square at 3 and 6 pm

Chalk Talk with Nat Scrimshaw 1-4 pm at the Curious George Cottage Studio in Town Square. Kids take home a poster-sized drawing. These are sketches for a new series of books that will feature Hans and Margret’s Rey’s Whiteblack the Penguin as he explores the world and learns about different places and their ecologies and people.

Astronomy with the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium and the Rey Center – indoor and outdoor presentations. $10 per person or $20 per family.

July 6

Squam Lake Science Center live animal presentation at 10 am
Bionic Bard, a comedy improv show at 11 am
