West Dover, Vt. (May 28, 2013) – The conversation goes, “What did you do on Memorial Day?” “I pulled my first 360 off a jump at Mount Snow during Peace Pipe Jam.” “On your bike?” “No dude, on my skis.”

Even after torrential rain and other inclement weather postponed Mount Snow’s Peace Pipe Jam from Saturday to Monday, there was still ample snow leftover for the park crew to build a rail garden near the base of Carinthia with almost ten features including a jump. Blue skies and comfortable temps attracted well over 200 skiers and riders to enjoy the late-season set up and families took the opportunity to park lawn chairs, grab a snack and even throw the baseball around in between watching high flying tricks on the snow.

“It was just a great day overall,” said freestyle terrain manager, Day Franzen. “We had cold temps the night before so the park set up really well and kids threw down all day long; big smiles all around.”

Representatives from Burton Snowboards were on hand giving away swag, the soundtrack was provided by a DJ and skateboarders took to the mini pipe and other features on Carinthia Base Lodge deck.
