NEWRY, Maine — Created from dreams and filled with the energy of children, the Russian American Kids Circus is an ensemble of gifted, young entertainers who will delight audiences with two performances on Saturday, March 22 in the Grand Ballroom at Sunday River’s Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center.

The Russian American Kids Circus has been performing on top stages in the U.S. and abroad for over 12 years. Their performance is a unity and synthesis of circus arts, theater, dance, music, and comedy. With over a decade of experience combining the artistry and magic of circus with the rich and time-treasured tradition of European theater, this Black Diamond Family Entertainment Series show is one for the entire family.

One of the most interesting aspects of this circus is that the performers are all between the ages of six and 16 ??“ who tackle gravity-defying acrobatics in what is a delight for the audience. Trained and produced by veterans of the world famous Moscow Circus, these artists fill the stage with a blur of spangles, dazzling audiences with their synchronized acrobatics, black lights, unicycling, expert juggling, daring aerial feats, and balancing acts. Their shows feature outrageous costumes staged under magical lighting and state of the art techniques in the hallowed tradition of the circus.

Alex Berenchtein, a former star with the Moscow Circus, created the Kids Circus to give children of all ages an opportunity to develop self-expression, discipline and teamwork by teaching them circus performance skills. In addition to touring worldwide, the Russian American Kids Circus has appeared at Disney World, on the Bill Cosby Show, Good Morning America, plus countless commercials and television programs all over the globe. The New York Times says, “this troupe of young professionals makes spirits soar and crowds roar.”
