WILMINGTON, New York ??” It’s 25 years after the Lake Placid Olympic Winter Games and, believe it or not, your official 1980 attire is still valuable. Dig that gear out of the attic, dust it off and bring it to Whiteface Mountain, site of the Olympic alpine events, for a $25 lift ticket.

This offer is good Feb. 13, 20 and 27. And remember that Sunday, Feb. 6 is Super Sunday, presented by Budweiser, when you can also ski for $25 with no 1980 apparel needed.

When you come to ski or ride on any of those last three Sundays in February, you must bring authentic 1980 Winter Olympic gear. That will entitle you to an all-day lift ticket for just $25.00, no advance purchase necessary.

Maybe you don’t have the entire 1980 outfit. No worries. Bring any gear from the 1980 Winter Games, and if it agrees with our clothing board, you, too, can ski for only $25.00. If you arrive in any other attire that is in the spirit of the 1980 Olympics but does not appear on our clothing board, you will receive a commemorative 25th anniversary pin.

The clothing board can be viewed by logging on to www.orda.org and check out the 25th anniversary page.

Were you a torch runner? Were you a paid employee of the Lake Placid Olympic Organizing Committee? Well then bring in those 1980 duds and prove it.
