Ski Vermont Announces Cutting Edge Social Media Incentive Program

The Ski Vermont: Check In to Win program rewards skiers and riders when they check in at any Vermont ski resort via Foursquare or Facebook Places. It is the first statewide tourism program of its kind, promoting frequency and variety of visits to Vermont ski resorts via prize incentives.

“We know the ski community loves to share where they skied and how much vertical or powder they shredded with their friends,” said Sarah Neith of Ski Vermont. “This is an opportunity to not only reward our loyal customers with prizes and engage them with other Vermont brands, but also create a forum for them to come together and chalk up their bragging rights.”

Those who sign up for the program via will be encouraged to use the hashtag #vtskibrag to track their progress through the snowy mountains of Vermont and share conditions and pictures.

Incentive Prizes Abound

Every time a skier or rider checks in to a Vermont ski resort using either Foursquare or Facebook they are entered into the grand prize drawing for a 5 night Vermont ski and stay package for winter 2013-14. We encourage ballot stuffing!

Skiers and riders also get rewarded for exploring the state and visiting as many of our 18 resorts as possible. The more resorts participants check into the more prizes they’ll receive from the Ski Vermont prize vault. Some examples include Ski Vermont’s iconic posters, gifts from Cabot Cheese and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and of course free lift tickets to resorts yet uncharted!
