Skiing at Snowshoe Mountain in West VirginiaNew e-Store Changes the Way Guests Plan Ski Vacations

SNOWSHOE, West Virginia – (January 9, 2013) – Snowshoe Mountain today announced the launch of the resort’s new online lift ticket “e-Store” guaranteeing the resort’s lowest lift ticket prices for those who are willing to lock in non-refundable, date specific tickets – similar to online airline bookings.

“The e-store will offer savings up to 50% on lift ticket rack rates. It’s similar to auction and travel sites as we will offer an ever-changing volume of deals based on dates, quantities and conditions,” explains Dave Dekema, marketing director at Snowshoe. “Customers will be motivated to buy when they see a deal they like because great offers have the potential of going away as the booking window closes.”

When a customer finalizes a lift ticket purchase on the e-store, they will be asked to confirm the dates, and will be reminded that the purchases are non-refundable. They will receive a barcode voucher in an email, which will then instruct them to bring it to any ticket sales office at Snowshoe.

“The e-Store test is scheduled to last through the end of January, however, it has the potential of being permanently implemented if the program is successful,” Dekema explains.

The resort hopes to include season passes, event tickets and more, permanently changing the way the resort prices and sells its products.

The e-store is currently available from now until January 31, 2013.
