Stowe Mountain Resort will host two unique upcomming concerts featuring virtuosic performers that span a multitude of musical genres. On April 29, Matt Dusk – a singer, songwriter, producer, arranger and fervent jazz-pop musicologist will perform at 8pm. On May 5, Quartetto Gelato – a dazzling ensemble blending music and theatre, will take its audience on an unforgettable musical journey. Tickets for both shows are available online at www.sprucepeakarts.org
Matt Dusk is a Canada-native and Juno Award nominee has spent most of his career reanimating the great American songbook alongside some of his own more quirky pop creations. He scored a gold album with his debut CD ‘Two Shots’ and a chart-topping adult contemporary single there with ‘All About Me.’ Matt even scored a #1 single in Japan with ‘Back in Town’ – the first male jazz singer to ever top the pop chart there.
Quartetto Gelato features romantic tenor arias, gypsy pyrotechniques and a World Accordion Champion. Classical in training – eclectic by design – Quartetto Gelato not only thrills its audiences with its multi-instrument mastery, but also offers the bonus of a brilliant operatic tenor. With a performance repertoire that travels the globe including classical masterworks, operatic arias, the sizzling energy of tangos, gypsy and folk songs, the group’s theatrical stage presence and relaxed humor establishes an intimate rapport with audiences worldwide.
