The renovation includes 160 guestrooms, an atrium-style lobby with sleek stone facade, and elegant conference space. Construction has consumed more than two years and includes the complete construction of the new lodge – retro-fitted into the existing lodge; the project will conclude in late October.

The guest rooms are designed for rustic elegance, with plush luxury beds and linens, oversized bathrooms, flat-screen tvs and in-room microfridges for complete convenience.

Perched upon a plateau overlooking the valley and offering sweeping views of the surrounding peaks, Canaan Valley Resort offers guests a variety of accommodations including new guestrooms and suites, cabin/cottage rentals, and paved campsites. Other resort venues include gift shops, a variety of dining options, and an array of seasonal recreation activities.

More than 25,000 square feet of flexible, spacious meeting venues make for unforgettable West Virginia meetings, conventions, reunions, retreats and destination weddings. Meeting rooms are equipped with wireless Internet access; they accommodate an assortment of floor plans, and audio visual equipment is available. For larger scale events or activities, there are playing fields and a natural outdoor amphitheater – perfect for concerts or other performances.

The resort, a mountain playground for outdoor enthusiasts, features an exciting array of activities for every season of the year. The newest addition to the recreation line-up in 2013 is a five station Sporting Clay Target Field, which allows guests to test their target shooting skills as clay pigeons are launched at various levels and speeds. Once the snow begins to fall, our premier ski destination speaks for itself – drawing avid powder-seekers from throughout the mid-Atlantic.

To witness the area’s unique flora and fauna up close, trek the park’s 18 miles of marked trails, which are suited for mountain biking or hiking. Additional summer activities include paintball, swimming, tennis, a 25′ climbing wall, eurobungy, miniature golf, geocaching, weekend wagon rides and bonfires.
