ALBANY, N.Y. — It may be summer and your thermometer may not be hinting at snow, but it’s never too early to begin thinking about winter or skiing and riding at Whiteface, in Wilmington, N.Y. The Whiteface Lake Placid Road Warriors are back out hitting the pavement and armed with opportunities to ski and ride Whiteface for free this winter along with an incredible chance to win a Whiteface Season Pass and enter your name into the Grand Prize drawing for a Whiteface Lake Placid Ski and Stay Package for two days and two nights for four people- including Olympic Sites Passports so you can enjoy our off-hill activities as well!
Right now you are asking yourself “what do I need to do to win” right? Simple. All you have to do is show up and impress us by wearing your winter gear – helmet, hats, goggles, skis, ski boots – you name it, and you could earn yourself a free Whiteface lift ticket! Wait. August 12-13 the Whiteface Lake Placid Road Warriors will be visiting various locations throughout Albany and Saratoga. Our first stop will be Friday, August 12 at the Albany Farmer’s Market at the Empire State Plaza, from 10 A.M. – 2 P.M. and the Cross Gates Mall located across from Dick’s Sporting Goods from 3 P.M. – 5 P.M. Later Friday night, we will be heading up to Saratoga where you will find us at Bailey’s Cafe from 7 P.M. – 9 P.M.
We kick off Saturday, August 13 in Saratoga’s Congress Park 10 A.M. – 1 P.M., with a few other fun and fast stops along the way. If you miss us during the day, come enjoy Saratoga’s nightlife with the Whiteface Lake Placid Road Warriors at The Horseshoe Inn Bar & Grill 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. or at Gaffney’s from 9 P.M. – 11 P.M.
Just think…The 2010-11 winter season saw 138 days of skiing and riding at the Olympic mountain with over 247 inches of natural snowfall, so don’t let yourself miss out on this awesome opportunity to win!
Not only does Whiteface boast the East’s greatest vertical, but in 2010 was SKI Magazine’s #1 Ski Resort in the Eastern United States.
