Camelback 1/10/15

Candidate for the best day of the year so far. When the mountain does something right they need to be acknowledged and given the big thumbs up. Camelback took big time advantage of the cold snap and really whipped the mountain into shape. Saturday was a great day. Didn't get out as early as usual because of the cold (4 degrees arriving at the mountain). Hit Birches and Laurel Glade for a cruiser 1st run, then hit the top of Big Pocono to Uncle Bills. Arrived at the top of Uncle Bills to see seeded bumps covered with a nice coating of top snow. Natural may be the best but this manmade snow was blown very dry and was really sweet underfoot. Great bumps with nice flow from top to Bottom. From then on I only skied 3 runs for the rest of the day. Asp had just been reconditioned and is being allowed to be bumped up, Lower Cleo bumps are in and Uncle Bill's which IMO was the best of all. Long morning session of about 4 1/2 hours, small break, then afternoon session of about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Busy but definitely not over run as I never really waited more then a couple of min using a combination of Sullivan Quad, Marc Antony, and Glen lifts. Would love to show pictures but the camera battery was dead and due to the shadows on the mountain at this time year I just don't think they would have done it justice with the phone camera. Hope the ice and rain doesn't do too much damage but I have been assured they will continue to resurface. Good job Camelback.
