Gunstock 12-14-2014
Date(s) Skied: 12/14/2014
Resort or Ski Area: Gunstock - Gilford, NH
Conditions: Packed Powder, Frozen Loose Granular
Trip Report: Made the first trip to Gunstock for the season. They have done a great job of getting top to bottom skiing so early. With a good base of 8-16 inches, they've stepped up their A-Game in terms of skiable terrain this early for them. I ended up lapping trigger and gunsmoke all morning with a break for lunch (and getting my new 2015 mug) and just having a good day on the hill. All in all did 12 runs, 14k of vertical before heading back home to do errands this afternoon. Here are some photos to feast on.
The Summit:
Some trees caked in ice and snow - they had 10 inches of ice to deal with during the last storm:
Mount Washington in the distance:
Looking down Trigger:
Still a lot of work to be done - But you can see where the snow/ice line was on the far left:
New mug for 2015!
