Saddleback Maine – January 4, 2015
Good day at Saddleback. They got about 6" new snow and largely avoided the crust although it was light freezing drizzle on the goggles all morning. Rangeley double was on wind-hold all day but ice/wind did not affect operations on the other 4 lifts. Narrow trials (Peachy’s Peril, Jane Craig and Professor) held the best snow. Modest crowd but there were some $39 dollar Maine Day lift tickets hanging from Jackets. Skiing was fairly good until the temps spiked to close to 40 around mid-day and turned the snow a bit manky. We retired early to the swig and smelt pub. Overall a good day.
