LUDLOW, Vt. – Okemo Mountain Resort is ready to welcome guests for a Thanksgiving holiday weekend to remember.

Thanksgiving Dinner will be served in Coleman Brook Tavern on Thursday, Nov. 22, from 1-7 p.m. A traditional repast with all the trimmings is just $29.95 per person. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (802) 228-1435.

To help burn off the calories from that extra slice of pumpkin pie, The Okemo Trot It Off 5k takes place on Saturday, Nov. 24, in the Jackson Gore base area. This running/walking race is perfect for the avid runner or the recreational walker. Registration is $25 per person and proceeds go to local community assistance programs. All participants will receive an event t-shirt. The Tots Trot, a kids’ fun race for children 12 and younger, will take place just before the 5k. Race registration starts at 8 a.m. Trot It Off starts at 9:30 a.m.

Okemo opened for skiing and riding on Nov. 8, so Thanksgiving revelers should plan to spend some time on the slopes as well. Okemo’s Mountain Coaster will be operating through the weekend, and thrill-seekers can experience Jackson Gore from roller-coaster-like rails with the added feature of being able to control their own speed.
