BARTLETT, New Hampshire ??” Attitash in Bartlett, N.H., opened for its 30th season of summer operations over Memorial Day Weekend. There was plenty of activity as guests rode the Alpine Slide, cranked on the resorts extensive mountain bike trails, tackled the climbing wall, explored trails along the Saco River on guided horseback rides and enjoyed the sunshine as they relaxed on the Scenic Sky Ride.

“We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the holiday weekend and we haven’t been able to say that in a while,” said Jesse Mosston, brand manager at Attitash. “We had guests spend the entire day riding the Alpine Slide, horseback riding and mountain bikers in full body armor tearing down the trails. Overall it was a perfect weather weekend in the Mount Washington Valley and a great way to kick-off summer operations.”

“I have been here for years of opening weekends and this was the best weather I have seen,” said Mike Singer, who has taken over 1,000 rides down the Alpine Slide. “I look forward to a great season of riding the Alpine Slide.”

Attitash began summer operations in 1976 when it imported Alpine Slides from Europe and in 2000, the resort added extensions making them the longest slides in North America. On June 23 Attitash will host a Free Day open to the public so they can experience all the resort has to offer.

Attitash 2006 summer operations are now open on a weekends-only basis through June 11. Attitash daily operations and the opening of the waterslides and Buddy Bear’s Playpool start June 17 and continue through Labor Day. Guided Horseback Riding Tours are currently open for daily operations weather permitting.

A 1-Day ticket is $35 and includes a day’s worth of unlimited access to all the activities at Attitash (Horseback riding and golf range not included). The resort offers a 2-Day ticket for $55.
