BARTLETT, New Hampshire — Under the new ownership and leadership of Peak Resorts Inc., a $2.5 million snowmaking enhancement will be added to what is already one of the most powerful snowmaking systems in New Hampshire. One hundred of the latest technology fan guns have been ordered and will be installed top to bottom on Illusion at Bear Peak as well as several of the primary trails on Attitash.

“Skiers are demanding quality and expansive terrain earlier in the season. This technology allows us to make a high volume of snow at wider range of temperatures than much of the other equipment on the market. We will be able to deliver an exceptional product, top to bottom on both peaks as early as temperatures permit,” said Kevin Kasten, director of mountain operations at Attitash. “Once guests ski our product they will understand what sets us apart and recognize us as having the best snow possible.”

The fan gun system is comparatively one of the most powerful, energy-efficient systems utilizing computerized weather and pumping stations to maximize opportunity, production, snow quality and efficiency.

“Snowmaking is a priority at all of our resorts (Peaks) and we are amongst the best at doing it right. We hold the same expectation as our guests, excellent conditions from opening day right through the season, and we deliver,” said Kent Graham, V.P. & General Manager at Attitash. “We believe that guests will ski our snow and appreciate the consistent quality we are committed to offering through state of the art equipment and expert grooming,”

Attitash plans to open mid to late November with the goal of having open terrain on both peaks as well as terrain park elements set up in the Fly Zone Terrain Park. There will be no closing date set as the resort plans to remain open as late into the season as conditions allow. This will be the first phase of capital improvements planned at Attitash.

Attitash is part of Peak Resorts, owner and operators of 11 ski areas and 2 golf courses in 6 states. Peak Resorts Inc. is committed to building an enhanced resort experience at each of their properties. More information is available on the company??в„ўs website www.peakresorts.com.
