Attitash Hosts 16th Annual Oktoberfest on Columbus Weekend

attitash beer tentBartlett, NH – Attitash Mountain Resort will host the 16th Annual Oktoberfest on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13 at its Bear Peak base area. The two-day Oktoberfest weekend will feature live, traditional Bavarian music from the world renowned King Ludwig’s Band, dancing, Stein Hoisting and Keg Toss competitions for adults, kids’ activities & games, authentic German food and the Biergarten tent featuring local and regional brewers. This year’s attending brewers, all competing for the “People’s Favorite” annual award, include: Angry Orchard Hard Cider, Curious Traveler Shandy, Long Trail Brewing, Narragansett, Peak Organic Brewing Co., Samuel Adams, Sebago Brewing Co., Shipyard Brewing Co., Tuckerman Brewing Co., White Mountain Distributors featuring Bud & Bud Light, Woodchuck Cider, and Woodstock Inn Brewery.

This year’s Oktoberfest will include the Samuel Adams Stein Hoist Competition happening both days and will allow participants age 21+ a chance to compete for an overnight stay in Boston for two and brewery tour. And the annual favorite “Keg Toss” contests return again allowing participants age 21+ chances to win an overnight stay for two and brewery tour from sponsors Long Trail and Sebago Breweries. A Climbing Wall, Slackline, Inflatable Adventure Course, Cornhole Decks, Kinderplatz, Bouncy House and activities area for children will also be located within the outdoor festival area. Hours for Oktoberfest will be Saturday, October 12, noon – 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 13, noon – 5 p.m. The entrance fee to attend Oktoberfest, food or beverage not included, is $10 (age 21+, positive ID required), $5 (ages 6-20), and children under age 6 are free. During the event hours in the Bear Peak base lodge, Attitash staff will be available to process season pass purchases before the current lowest-price deadline of Monday, October 14 and to also print 2013/2014 passes for those who have already purchased and want to pick up (no entrance fee required to purchase or pick up a 2013/14 season pass).
