Attitash Hosts Winterfest 2006

BARTLETT, New Hampshire ??” Attitash in Bartlett, New Hampshire is preparing for its upcoming week long Winterfest which will offer activities, apr??s ski entertainment and competitions throughout the week. In addition the state’s most powerful snowmaking system has been operating around the clock to ensure guests the best possible terrain for skiing and riding.

Attitash will kick off the week on Saturday, February 18 with its 2nd annual Spread Eagle World Championship. Competitors will huck themselves off a big air jump, in their one piece day glow suits, and execute Daffys, Spread Eagles, Twisters, and other old school air tricks.

Sponge Bob SquarePants will be visiting with Attitash guests on Monday, February 20 when he will host his Crabbie Pattie Relay Race. Dora the Explorer will venture to the mountain on Tuesday, February 21 and encourage children to explore on her special Scavenger Hunt. Wednesday, February 22 will feature a Limbo contest.

There will be free apr??s ski entertainment most nights in Ptarmigan’s Pub as well as the Bears Den. For a full listing of entertainment and times visit Attitash.com/events

A recreational GS course will be available on the Competition Slope for daily racing from 11:00AM – 3:00PM with a charge of $2.00 per run or $15.00 for 10 runs.

Dogsledding and snowshoeing are additional amenities that will be offered during the vacation week.

Attitash is in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on Rt. 302 in Bartlett. During the winter Attitash offers 2 mountains with 70 trails and 22 miles of skiing and riding on 280 acres. In the summer guests can enjoy North America’s longest Alpine Slides, waterslides, a scenic sky ride, lift-serviced mountain biking, climbing wall, Trampoline Thing, horseback rides, driving range and skate park.
