Attitash Summer Attractions Open for the Season June 16

BARTLETT, New Hampshire — On June 16, Attitash in Bartlett, New Hampshire will open for the summer season under the new ownership of Peak Resorts. Daily operations will continue through Labor Day September 3, 2007. Attractions will be open from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM weather permitting. Guided horseback tours located at the Attitash Fields will be available from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

“The diversity and range of summer activities that we offer at Attitash are fantastic. We have some unique attractions such as the Alpine Slides and EuroBungy Trampoline, more challenging activities like the lift serviced mountain biking and climbing wall, and a list of other amenities to captivate a range of interests. It’s a great place for family and friends to spend their days playing,” said Kent Graham, V.P. & General Manager at Attitash.

The resort excels in providing the opportunity to ride, slide, climb, pedal and jump. Guests can ride down the resort’s mile-long Alpine Slides – the longest in North America, test out the EuroBungy Trampoline, conquer the 23′ climbing wall and explore New Hampshire’s most extensive on-and off-slope mountain biking trails. Guests can also take a guided horseback ride, cool off on one of four waterslides or in Buddy Bear’s Play Pool or relax on the Scenic Sky Ride to the summit of Attitash.

A 1-Day ticket is $35 and includes a day’s worth of unlimited access to all the activities at Attitash (Horseback riding is not included). Guests planning on spending at least four days at the resort this summer can take advantage of the Summer Season Ticket available for $129 for those 48 inches and taller or $75 for kids under 48 inches. Certain activities have height and weight restrictions.

Guided horseback tours are available at $49 (approximately one-hour). The scenic tour winds through forests and meadows bordering the Saco River.

Following is a comprehensive listing of all Attitash summer activities for 2007:

ALPINE SLIDES: Thrill-seekers will enjoy cruising down the mountain on two, mile-long Alpine Slides, the longest in North America and the only ride of its kind in Maine or New Hampshire.

WATERSLIDES: Cool off on those hot summer days on one of four different waterslides, including the exciting Sidewinder featuring rafts for up to three people. Enjoy a wet and wild ride down the Aquaboggan, splashing through tunnels and over bridges.

HORSEBACK RIDING: Guided horseback tours venture through the woods and meadows surrounding Attitash and along the Saco River. The stable is located at the Attitash Fields and the western style rides last approximately one hour.

MOUNTAIN BIKING: Attitash offers some of the best on- and off-slope mountain biking in New England, with lift-serviced trails and shuttle service access to the terrain in the White Mountain National Forest. The popular Thorne Pond Trail network offers fun and gentle terrain along the Saco River. A full rental fleet is available in the Pedaling Bear Bike Shop in the Adventure Center.

BUDDY BEAR’S PLAYPOOL(tm): This pool is the perfect place to take the little ones for a splash on a warm summer day. Featuring colorful critters, water wigglers, floating lily pads and Buddy’s tree house complete with a slide, Buddy Bear’s Play Pool is just right for children under 48 inches tall.

SCENIC SKY RIDE: The Scenic Sky Ride is a one-hour round-trip tour to the summit of Attitash. Visitors can climb the White Mountain Observation Tower and enjoy 360-degree views of the Presidential Range and Mount Washington Valley. Located on the tower guests will find a 6 foot wide panoram reflecting corresponding winter and summer views from the summit with several of the peaks in view identified.

EUROBUNGY TRAMPOLINE: The EuroBungy Trampoline is a multi-station super trampoline system, which enables guests to jump, flip, spin and soar through the air accomplishing gravity defying maneuvers.

CLIMBING WALL: Beginner and expert climbers alike can practice their climbing techniques and experience adventure on a 23′ climbing wall, located at the base of Attitash.
