HIGHMOUNT, New York ??” Belleayre Mountain has announced a free ski bus from Kingston Plaza to Belleayre Mountain on Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT). To take advantage of this opportunity, just let the bus driver know when you board that you want to ski Belleayre, and they’ll drop you off and pick you up right outside the Discovery Lodge. The ski bus leaves from the Hannaford’s in the Kingston Plaza at 8:45 am on Saturdays, and travels along Route 28 to Belleayre Mountain, arriving at Belleayre at 9:45 am. To catch the bus along it’s route, visit Belleayre’s website for the time schedule, and then flag the bus down in a place where it’s safe for the bus to pull over. The bus will pick you up again at 4 pm, and arrive at the Kingston Plaza at 5:15 pm. While the free ski bus to Belleayre runs only on Saturdays at this point, an extended Monday through Friday schedule is planned to start after the new year.

Belleayre Mountain is very excited to be offering the residents of Ulster County and surrounding areas free transportation to their resort. Belleayre sees this as an opportunity to fulfill it’s mission of stewardship to the environment by encouraging visitors to utilize public transportation. In addition, those without transportation or teens too young to drive will benefit especially from this opportunity.

The weather has been perfect for snowmaking, and Belleayre anticipates having 10 trails, glades and parks and 4 lifts open for the upcoming weekend.
