Boston ski & sports club announces ski season schedule
Highlights Include a “Ski & Surf” Trip to Jay Peak, Parrot Head Spring Fling, And Sundance Film Festival Ski Trip
BOSTON-The Boston Ski and Sports Club (BSSC), which provides thousands of sports leagues, social events, ski trips and adventure travel for more than 50,000 active professionals, has announced that registration is now open for dozens of ski trips around New England and across the world for the 2011-2012 ski season.
BSSC’s ski trips provide transportation, lodging, meals, lift tickets and discounts on lessons and equipment. Registration for all trips is currently open at www.bssc.com . Some of the notable trips for this season include:
-“Ski & Surf” at Jay Peak (Jan. 20-22): This is something you haven’t seen before: a $20 million, state-of-the-art indoor waterpark at a ski resort. It’s open all winter with an indoor bar, double barrel surf wave, lazy river, tubes and slides and the “La Chute,” with a 60-foot drop and 360-degree loop. When you’re done pretending it’s summer, you can head straight to the slopes.
-New Year’s Eve in Quebec City (Dec. 30 – Jan. 2) : Stay at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel Chateau Frontenac, ski Le Massif, snow tube and enjoy the BSSC New Year’s Eve party in this lively city.
-Skiing & Sundance in Utah (Jan. 21-27): Enjoy some of the country’s best skiing along with the events surrounding Sundance Film Festival (and maybe rub elbows with some Hollywood types while on the chair lift).
-Presidents Weekend in Montreal (Feb. 17-20): Skiers and non-skiers alike join this trip away from the crowds and high prices of local mountains. With European flair and culture, great restaurants, sightseeing, shopping and nightlife, there’s more than just skiing.
-Lake Placid (March 23-25): Ski on famed Olympic runs (’32 and ’80 Winter Olympics were held here) and take in off-slope activities like ice skating, cross-country skiing and Bobsled and Skeleton rides at Olympic venues.
-Sunday River Funtastic Parrot Head Spring Fling Weekend (Apr. 6-8 ): Wave goodbye to ski season with a festival that includes pond skimming, pie eating contests, crazy costumes, outdoor bars and grills, and all-day music.
BSSC also offers weeklong ski vacations and day trips. Day ski trips are just $77, including transportation, lift tickets and equipment/lesson discounts. BSSC has added to their exciting winter line-up: $59 Wednesday day trips and Ski Dating. For more information on the schedule or to register, visit Ski With BSSC.
