BRETTON WOODS, New Hampshire — Bretton Woods, part of Mountain Washington Resort, will open for the skiing and riding season beginning Saturday, November 10th, 2007, offering the first skiing in the State of NH for the 2007-08 season.

“We’ve been having snow flurries this week here at Bretton Woods, and we’ve been snowmaking at every opportunity” according to Chris Ellms, Director of Ski Operations for the Resort.

The plan is to start things off with the Learning Center quad with skiing on Rosebrook Lane for those who are ready to get their legs warmed up for the season. Terrain park elements, including two rails and a fun box will be set up for early-season jibbing. Lift tickets for the Learning Center quad are free. The Bethlehem Express quad is scheduled for a possible Sunday opening, but is weather-permitting. It will be fired up at the first opportunity to offer a couple more trails for skiing, at which time tickets will be at an early-season rate of $39. Lifts will operate from 8 am to 4 pm on weekends (and holidays) and from 9 am to 4 pm midweek throughout the season.

This weekend, the Rental Shop will be open for equipment, repairs and tuning; and the Red Carpet Ski School will be offering private lessons only based on availability. Bretton Woods Adaptive lessons also will be available. Season Passes are available for pick up seven days a week.
