BRETTON WOODS, New Hampshire ??” Bretton Woods Mountain Resort, New Hampshire’s largest ski area, experienced the biggest Christmas holiday week in its 32-year history. Up 40 percent over last year in visits, more than 26,000 happy skiers and riders visited Bretton Woods over the seven-day period. Visits are also up 25 percent over last year for the entire ski season to date.

“We’re excited that the word about Bretton Woods is spreading,” said Bretton Woods Operations Director Chris Ellms. “We’re glad more and more skiers are having an opportunity to experience Bretton Woods’ guest service, grooming, and terrain, which are some of the best in North America.”

The Resort’s Nordic center is off to a wonderful start to the winter as well. Over 2,000 cross country skiers and snowshoers enjoyed the track set and skate groomed trails throughout the week. Approximately six inches of snowfall on Thursday, in a very localized storm, made for some great Nordic skiing and snowshoeing conditions on the 100 km trail network.
