Bromley Mountain raises the curtain on the 2011/2012 ski season – the venerable resort’s 75th, as it happens – with a sight to delight moms and dads and fire up the on-and-off-the-snow learning experience for all the kids in tow: Bromley’s new, 3,000 square foot, $600,000 kids facility and its associated amenities.

“The new building, which will have a lunch room, along with the KidsCabin warming hut, a complete re-grading of the learning area and the new, fully enclosed Star Carpet lift are all here to support our new KidsRule Mountain Camp,” says Bill Cairns, Bromley’s General Manager.

Designed for kids aged 4-14 and developed in coordination with its sister resorts, Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts and Cranmore Mountain in New Hampshire, the KidsRule Mountain Camp is the latest testament to Bromley’s 75-year tradition of putting kids first. “It’s all about making sure that kids learning on the mountain have a great experience, a lot of fun, and a constantly growing degree of confidence on the snow,” said Cairns.

Between them, the teaching staff at Bromley, Jiminy and Cranmore has close to 100 years of instructional experience. “KidsRule employs the best practices of all of our instructors. The end result is a dramatically new, amplified approach to ski and snowboard instruction,” added Burleigh Sunflower, Bromley’s newly appointed Director of Snow Sports.

Also new this year, Bromley is bringing the beginner snowboard experience to a whole new level with its Burton LTR Center. Burton’s LTR program has revolutionized the “learn to ride” concept with a highly specialized approach that radically shortens the learning curve.

As always, the Bromley Ski and Snowboard School is available for group and private lessons in school or not, there’s always fully licensed childcare available.

Bromley Mountain is located at 3984 Vermont Route 11, Peru, Vermont, six miles east of Manchester. For more information and pricing for KidsRule Mountain Camp, and any and all other things Bromley, visit www.bromley.com.
