EAST BURKE, Vermont — Burke Mountain announces the following staff changes:
Hannah Collins has recently been promoted to Activities and Events Manager at Burke Mountain. Hannah has been at Burke Mountain since 1999, when she began her career as a ski instructor while majoring in Ski Resort Management at Lyndon State College. She has also held the positions of Marketing Intern, Marketing Coordinator and Activities and Events Coordinator. Prior to coming to Burke, Hannah worked as lift attendant at Shawnee Peak in Bridgeton, Maine.
Originally from Moosehead Lake, Maine, Hannah grew up skiing on the slopes of Big Squaw Mountain and skied competitively through high school on the cross country and downhill racing teams.
“Hannah has succeeded at everything she’s done at Burke since starting here as a ski school instructor as a college freshman. I’m proud of her and pleased to see her move into a management role. I know she’ll do well” says David Gwatkin, Director of Marketing and Sales at the resort.
Hannah lives in Lyndonville, VT.
Gloria Bruce has joined the resort’s Marketing & Sales team as its Guest Services Manager. She is responsible for managing the Guest Services Office, which includes retail ticket sales, season pass sales and office administration. Gloria will also be responsible for the growth and development of our lodging division.
Prior to joining Burke Mountain, Gloria was the Innkeeper at The Willoughvale Inn in Westmore, VT. Gloria’s other resort industry experience includes Rooms Divisions Director at The Green Mountain Inn in Stowe, VT and Tour & Travel Sales Manager at Topnotch at Stowe Resort & Spa.
A native Vermonter, Gloria was born and raised in Waterbury Center, VT and lives in West Charleston, VT with her husband Jonathan and daughter Ryleigh.
